Forest Oak Middle School

Overhead MEP systems & in-wall rough-ins are complete, and all new wall framing is finished.  Window installation & drywall are done and painting is expected to wrap up soon.  The ceiling grid is in place, lighting and HVAC ductwork are being routed. Meanwhile, the addition’s foundation has been poured and structural steel is being prepped for erection.

The boys’ and girls’ locker rooms have passed final inspections. Classroom punch list items are being completed. Construction on the next phase is moving forward with framing in place, while site and foundation work are scheduled to wrap up by the end of the month.

Phase 1 classrooms were turned over to FWISD prior to the start of school. Locker room renovations are underway and expected to finish in August. Site work, including the bus lane and front entrance sidewalks, are complete. Foundation work for the new addition continues.

Phase 1 classrooms are advancing with lighting ceiling grid, and corridor tile work is completed. Site improvements continue, including bus lane and entry paving. Foundation work for the building addition is underway.

Demolition continues across classrooms and the east wing. Site work includes pad prep for the new addition. IPRC work and library abatement are also underway, with multiple scopes active this month.

Demolition of the east parking lot is complete, and preparations are underway for underground utility work to support the new building addition. Safety preparations are underway at the exterior locker room, with demolition scheduled to begin in June.

We have completed the pour of concrete in the southern parking lot. There are a total 74 parking spaces for staff. With this complete, we are now preparing to start construction in the three-story addition.

Construction for the Forest Oak Middle School project began in Q4 2024, and started with the completion of a portable village built by contractor FH Paschen. 14 portable units are being relocated onto Forest Oak’s Middle School Campus to house 6th Graders that are relocating from Glencrest campus. The portable scope includes utilities, MEP, and security & safety.
